Well Surprise!...I'm having a baby :) and Chris and I couldn't be MORE excited!!! Baby is due approximately May 13Th, but we will see...babies have a way of coming at their own convenience. I am now in the beginning of my second trimester and what a sign of relief it was seeing our perfect little one in an ultra sound today! Baby was such a wiggly little one, just moving, and kicking, and stretching, and turning, and doing flips the whole time! It was so cute, when I started laughing it startled the little guy, Chris and my heart just melted!! In the picture above you can see how the little cutie turned its whole body away and just peaked a little glimpse in our direction, and every time the Dr went to take a picture baby would go from kicking and wiggling to this same position! Must be a shy little one :) It's hard to believe you can love such a small being more than anything in the world! Chris and I had lunch together after the appointment and we were just marveling about how the little one on the screen was OUR baby and that its tucked inside my belly safe and sound for us to watch over until we can hold him/her in our arms! Ahhhhhh! Can I just tell you how completely excited I am to be a mommy!!!??!! I CAN NOT believe that in little over 6 months I will be taking care of my newborn child!! It just blows my mind! Chris is the CUTEST daddy already, he takes such good care of me and is just as enthusiastic about all the planning involved with our first child as I am. I couldn't have asked for a better husband! He will make an AMAZING dad. My pregnancy has been very by the book this time, I had horrible morning sickness for 3 weeks, I have the sorest boobs in the world, crazy cravings, and I get to bed at around 8 o clock every night, because I am extra exhausted. Haha and I am alllllways hungry, but to my good fortune I only gained 2 1/2 pound my first trimester :))) It's funny at the beginning I lost wait then I gained weight and then I lost weight...so I'm curious to see what I will gain all together, though I am not too concerned. I've been reading so much about pregnancy this time and it's been so helpful to ease my mind and boost my confidence. The Dr said my blood pressure was really high my first few app ts, but it has steadily gone down. He said it was probably due to stress and anxiety so I've been trying really hard to keep my mind from worrying. I love this baby so much and I am so excited to watch him/her grow inside me. I feel so blessed to be given the opportunity to carry my own child and I couldn't have asked for better circumstances. ( I actually prayed I would get really sick so I wouldn't worry so much) I really think this baby will be the most loved baby in the world, I am going to cherish every moment being pregnant and raising my child. I really couldn't ask for more, my life is so completely blessed! Thursday, October 28, 2010

Catch up :)
I think a little catching up on my part is due, I am constantly taking pictures so I guess I'll post some of our most recent happenings :)
Ashlee's Cute Baby Belly

Ash's favorite foods consist of fruit and yogurt, her friends just happened to combine the two into a giant cookie!!

Her friends did such a good job with the decorating!
Me and my sista
This is the quilt I made little baby Harrison

I love the trains!!!
Ashlee made these cute decorations for above the changing table
The hotel was so sweet! They threw rose petals all over the room and made this cute little heart on the bed :)
Our HUGE tub that we were sure to take full advantage of!!
Our pretty room :) it was on the 12th floor and we had an amazing view from our window
Eggs Benadict!!
The hotel set up a scumptious breakfast for us in the moring! It was so yummy!!
In early September I took a trip with my favoritest granmother to Texas to spend time with my sister Ashlee and brother-in-law Phil. Grandma and I had such a great time pampering Ashlee and helping her get ready for her baby boy. (She is being induced this Thursday!!) We had some AMAZING Texan food, did a little shopping, participatied in a baby shower thrown by her Texan friends, and we even got pedicures and massages together!! We had such a great time and I LOVED spending time with my sissy before she becomes a momma. Here are a few pictures of our trip.

Christopher and I celebrated our 2nd year wedding anniverssary on September 20th!!! Chris planned so well and we had a spectacular weekend together :) We stayed at the Little America in down town Salt lake and walked to Buca de Beppo for dinner, the food was amazing! It's so great being able to get away with my sweetheart and have a few days with just the two of us. The past two years have gone by so quickly and we've enjoyed every minute of it!!

Are we the only ones with a budget??
I was pondering today about Chris and my current situation and just thinking about how we got so lucky to be where we are right now, and how we are just so blessed to both have steady income and own our own home and just sooooo grateful to be able to pay our bills every month! And I was wondering...How did things just click with us right from the beginning?? I mean we both were unemployed the first year of our marriage and you'd think that would have put a damper on things right? We made it through though Chris was able to get a great job and so was I. I CAN'T believe it! ( no really) I'm in shock and awe at our blessings and I don't take any of it for granted. I do know though that life can change in an INSTANT, and I REALLY REALLY want to be prepared for hardships and misfortunes, but how do I get started? I have been saving a great deal in my 401k at work and we have a set amount that we throw into savings monthly, but is that enough? Compared to many families we are not rich by any means, but I do know "anybody can save" even if its the smallest amount it adds up. Basically I'm writing this blog for advice. Chris and I already have a budget that my dad helped us put together when we were first married and its proven extremely affective, but I will take any advice I can get. We are trying to stop bad habits and tightening our belts a lot so we can prepare for the future. Even if you can just give me some cheap meal ideas that are quick and easy it would help sooo- much! (I don't get home until 7:30 pm and Chris & I are both on the run with school, so we tend to eat out more than we should) Do any of you have budget spreadsheets that you find have saved your lives?? Or do you have tricks to grocery shopping that you would like to share? I know we are on the right track, but also I know there is always room for improvement. Also, how does your family justify spending money like on decorating your home or clothes for work or play? Do you have set amounts that you can spend on a certain area or do you save for things like repairs and maintenance on your car or home? I know everyone is trying to become more frugal these days and I'd like to know what you do so I can help make our budget better :) Love you all!

Making Me Better for ME!
It is a waste of time and energy to worry about what others are thinking about you. because... You can never know exactly what another person is thinking...AND, the worst part is...they are usually not thinking about you at all. They are too busy worrying about what others are thinking about them. So, the truth is, all those terrible thoughts you thought they might be thinking about you, are your own thoughts about yourself. Better spend your energy worrying about that...or, you just might convince somebody to think what you were afraid they might be thinking after all. ~Portia Nelson

Sisters
"Sisters, sisters
There were never such devoted sisters,
Never had to have a chaperone, no sir,
I'm there to keep my eye on her
Caring, sharing
Every little thing that we are wearing(except that we are COMPLETELY different sizes)
When a certain gentleman arrived from rome
She wore the dress, and I stayed home(never really happened..but they helped me get ready for school dances)
All kinds of weather, we stick together
The same in the rain and sun
THREE different faces, but in tight places
We think and we act as one
Those who've seen us
Know that not a thing could come between us
Many men have tried to split us up, but no one can(We all have sweet husbands who get along marvelously, so no worries there)
Lord help the mister who comes between me and my sister
And lord help the sister, who comes between me and my man!"
I was at the hospital today visiting with my sister Heather on her Birthday and I just was thinking about all the fun I've had with my sisters throughout the years. I love them sooo much they are such amazing woman and I look up to them A LOT! They are both so strong and hardworking and I feel like they have achieved and conquered so many obstacles with such grace. Heather Has Cystic Fibrosis and who would ever really know? She never complains and is just so much fun to be around! I don't know one person who is not just completely in love with her! I wish I could always have the optimism Heather holds in her heart :) She has the best look on life and has helped me to learn that everything always happens for a reason. She also owns her own Credit Card processing company with her husband and its doing GREAT! She know how to multi task and I have NO IDEA how she does it all?? Heather is also VERY talented when it comes to being "Crafty" If you have seen some of her projects you know what I am talking about. I am so proud of her for accepting her CF as a part of who she is and I am so happy to have her in my family, she will make such a great Auntie to my children. Ashlee is the most tender hearted, sweeetest-kindest most genuine person EVER. I totally give her a hard time just to get a rise out of her sometimes :) I love her soo much she has accomplishes so much! She graduated from UVU with her Bachelor's in psychology emphasis in child development and I am so proud of her! Ashlee is so smart and I love that she never leaves anything unfinished. She has been my motivation through school and I want to be just like her. Ashlee and her sweet hubby have conquered a great load of trials and they are finally expecting a beautiful baby boy in less than 2 months!! Ash is going to be an AMAZING mom. I can't wait to see her in action! I just love them and am so thankful for their love and support. We sometimes but heads, but we have become such great friends and I love that we are getting closer and closer! I am still the LITTLE sister and every once in a while my mom points out how much they mother me LOL. I love them and here are some cute pictures of us :)
I am like amazon woman compared to them

Looking Back
Look at those two people up there! You know the cute couple tanned and deliriously happy, smiling right up there on the page ^ They look so young and in love with their care free smiles. Do they know what they are about to get into? Do they know what is ahead of them? Do they know that they are about to embark on a crazy life quest together? Hmmmm....NOPE they had no IDEA what they were getting into! Oh but I am so happy we did! (I do feel as though I have a lot more wrinkles since then, not to mention the extra 15 pounds I packed on!) OH how I love our life!!! It's so fun being crazy young married people!! <3 B
